They See Me Bloggin'
They hatin'. We started doing basic C# tutorials. It's suprisingly less like java than I expected, but also much easier than I had expected. The autocomplete in Visual Studio is also really helpful. Overall, Stefan and I are moving at a really brisk pace. I was absent on Thursday due to being ill, however I believe that Stefan worked through the tutorials even further than I did. Once we're done with these tutorials we should start on a good project. Full speed ahead!

last week
Last week was a fine week. I'm nearly finished making tabs work in the web browser that I'm making in XNA. It's turning out very well, but is a very long and arduous process. I got the basics of the web browser off of a website, however it was lacking a progress bar and a forward and back button. I added those two right after I got it working, however the tabs are proving to be quite difficult. I'm approaching it very similarly to opening a new window, however it's hard to truncate the url bar off of the "new window". I think I should get pretty smooth functionality by the 6 weeks. Stefan asked if he could help me out with it so maybe we'll team up from here and make it even nicer.

bloggin'
Last week everything was finally set up. We got C# installed and everything was working. I decided to begin experimenting with Kodu. It's fun to play with and seems like an interesting program, but it's really simple and overall boring. It's obviously designed for a younger audience and I feel as though I could get a lot more productive things done in regular C#. I think from here on I'm going to work in C# and learn the basics. I kind of have wanted since the beginning of the year to make a webbrowser-like program or just something related to that, and I feel that now that I have some individual work time I can start doing something like that in C#. It'll probably be very complex, but I'll just wait and see how everything turns out.
