blog for last week

Last week was a little bit under okay. We switched out the computers on one day which pretty much ate up the entire class period. The day after that we installed xna on the systems. Overall, this severely limited our work output for the week. Atleast we have fast new computers with cool screens though. I think from here on out Stefan will be doing exclusively XNA work, Lambros will be exclusively coding the LASA app, and I will be doing a little bit of both. It looks like this'll work well because it was very much overkill having three people work on the LASA app full time.

last week

Last week was a sort of "meh" week. Lambros was missing on the last day so we didn't exactly have a lot of direction and we also had TAKS on Tuesday so really all I'm writing about is that day Lambros wasn't there. I worked on the directory page pictures in photoshop a little. I think Stefan is going to do XNA from now on. Other than that we're still on track. Nothing new to report. Everything is good!

Last Week

Last week was fine. We are starting to really shoot through the directory page. I believe Stefan is starting to do XNA and then tying up loose ends on the main project but Lambros is currently working on a code to search the directory page for names of teachers in it (so that somebody doesn't need to scroll through and can just type their teacher's name and it goes straight to it). I got a bunch of the background tiling done for the directory page assets and overall the whole thing is looking really nice and professional. The only problem that I'm seeing with the app is the calendar page at this point. It looks sort of awkward in comparison to the other pages. Everything is themed in a sort of iPhone layout style but the calendar page just looks like a google calendar. It should turn out alright but for the moment it's a little annoying.

Last Week

Last week wasn't half bad. It was a mediocre week. Nothing special. Nothing terrible. We got work done as usual but the sports page is just killing us. We might peel Stefan off to do an alternative app or maybe start working on the directory page because we're starting to find ourselves with jobs for 2 people and not 3. However, once we start on the directory page all should go well since we're going to need someone making the pictures and objects, someone doing the main programming, and someone setting everything up and organizing/getting information. We already luckily got the teacher pictures after hours of going from yearbook administrator to the other until finally Malcolm gave us the disc so we're in good shape. Looks like we're in the home stretch.

Last week wsas great

So last week went great. We went and finally got a hold of Malcom. He gave us the yearbook pictures, and now everything is running smoothly. Lambros just about finished the Sports Page and I'm currently working on some visuals for it. Altogether it looks really nice. I've made the majority of buttons and they're all very very very very very very pretty. Altogether, we're doing great. We're starting on the faculty page and we've got quite a bit of work ahead of us. I've actually found a very nice code that let's you click on a number inside the application and then it will call that number. We don't really have any RSS to pull from so unfortunately the app will not be an auto-updated application. If teachers get fired they'll still be there.

BLOG

One of the most productive weeks yet. For the latter half of the week we were scrambling a lot to get the directory photos in but luckily we finally did. After a lot of this and that we ended up actually having to bring a yearbook editor in to download the directory information onto our computers. Luckily everything came together and Lambros is putting together the final touches on the programming for the sports page and I need to slightly reformat the buttons in photoshop. After that I have to reset the sizing in our code. Once all that's finally done we can get started on the directory page (probably the end of this coming week or the beginning of next week). After that it's testing and finalizing. We're in the homestretch!

This week was the bomb. Everything went amazing. We have the sports page all set up and now we are making it really pretty. If we get this done that means that we are in the homestretch. After this all we would need to do is the directory page and then that's that for the app. Overall it's all good. Go team. One thing thy we are scared of though is force close errors. We are already getting some for the sports page and that's bad.
